GSEIN MCP connector
This notice covers the GSEIN MCP connector at https://mcp.gsein.org/mcp. It supplements the GSEIN Legal & Governance Policy, which remains the authoritative privacy source for GSEIN. Last updated: 22 October 2026.
What the connector processes
- The GSEIN in each tool call. It is used only to look that GSEIN up in the public GSEIN Verify service, and is not stored by the connector.
- Network information. Your MCP client's network address is used transiently to apply rate limits. The connector does not log or store it.
The connector does not receive your prompts, your conversation, or any other context held by your AI assistant, and it has no access to your account with that assistant.
What is recorded
For reliability and to measure use of the connector, each tool call produces one operational record containing only: the tool name, the outcome (for example verified, not found, invalid, unavailable), the response time, a random request identifier, the time, and the channel label mcp. These records contain no GSEIN, no entity name, no network address and no request content.
Storage and retention
Operational records are kept in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine, which retains them for three months, and in the connector's service logs only for the hosting service's short log retention period. Nothing else is stored.
Sharing
The connector runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests as GSEIN's infrastructure provider. GSEIN does not sell or share connector data with anyone else. The answer to each tool call is returned to the MCP client you chose (for example Claude); how that client handles your conversation is governed by its own privacy policy.
What the connector returns
Only what the public GSEIN Verify service shows on gsein.org: for a verified GSEIN, the legal name of the entity that holds it. Information outside that scope is never returned.
